Brentwood 5th XI v Belhus Cricket Club Saturday 5th XI on Sat 15 Jul 2023 at 12.30pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 2 Wickets
Match report
Brentwood 5th XI 234-5
Belhus 5th XI 235-8 (Adam Martin 122)
Played at the De Rougemont Ground in Warley, the Brentwood batters all made double-figure contributions to their total of 234 for 5 as they declared, surprisingly but sportingly, after 36 overs.
In our run-chase after tea we lost early wickets, but opener Adam Martin batted heroically to post his second century for the Club (122). And with support from Aariyan Kansagra (43), we reached the required target with Mason Ruck and skipper dad, Barry, seeing us over the line to secure an impressive 2-wicket win after Brentwood had deployed 9 bowlers to force a victory.
Well played Belhus.
