In this Hamro Foundation Essex League home match at William Edwards school, our 5th XI batted first and registered a reasonable total of 166-8 from their 45 overs with Ryan Prendergast our lead run-scorer with 54. Tahir Mughal was the pick of the Fives and Heronians bowlers with 4 for 39.

In their run-chase, F and H were never really in the hunt and despite a late flurry by Waleed Imtiaz (26) and Asama Imtiaz (21) they were unable to reach the required target and were bowled out for 124 to give us a 42-runs victory. Aariyan Kansagra and Matthew Friend were our star bowlers with 4 and 3 wickets respectively and Brian Edwards snared 3 catches as skipper Barry Ruck's side collected a much-welcome 25 points.
