Batting first in the last Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season, our 2nd XI were reasonably content on posting a total of 235 all out with Henry Overy continuing his fine form with 64.

After tea, Teddy Waters and Tyler Robertson bagged 3 wickets apiece as Benfleet struggled to reach the required target and finished on 193 for 9 at the close to see us home to a 42-runs win.

Unfortunately, and despite some pretty good performances during the season, our 2nd XI couldn't quite deliver the results for which they are able and 2024 will see them join the Division below.
