Batting first in this sixteenth Essex League match of the season, our 2nd XI yet again registered a decent, competitive total of 254 for 8 from their 45 overs. Jack Plane was our lead run-scorer with 73 and other batters made valuable contributions.

In the H & T run-chase after tea, Callum Blackaby (61*) and Ruben Vapilwala (58) batted well and their team cruised home to a comfortable 6-wickets victory.
