Belhus weren't too disappointed after being dismissed for a respectable 193, if a little under par, after Alex Blake stroked a fine half- century supported by Roy Heffernan who made a steadfast 47*.

But in their run-chase, Benfleet had little difficulty in reaching the required target in 38.5 overs thanks to half-centuries from Oliver Kersely (70*) and Steve Reeve (64) and won comfortably by 6 wickets.

Our 2nd XI are hoping for better performances in the the second half of the Hamro Foundation Essex League season.
