Batting first in the fourth Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season, Belhus were pleased to post a decent total of 260 for 9 from their 45 overs thanks to half-centuries from Jack Plane (64) and Roy Hefernan (61).

In reply, the Westcliff-on-Sea batters made an easy job of chasing down the runs with D Shetty (84), B Curtis (70) and D Colwill (50*) seeing their side home to a comfortable 6-wickets win with 2.2 overs to spare. Clearly Belhus players are not at their best in the sea air.
