Batting first in this sixteenth Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season, we registered a moderately competitive total of 222 all out with Jack Plom (47) top-scoring and other batters making contributions. Taqi Abbas took 3 for 41.

In their reply after tea, Harold Wood were pretty well poised at 145 for 3. But then wickets fell steadily with Nathan Khelawon bowling superbly to take 4 for 30 as HW suffered a collapse by losing 7 wickets for 36 runs and we came out winners by 41 runs.

With 2 matches of the season remaining, we sit in 2nd place in Division One, 25 points behind leaders Epping and 26 points ahead of Harold Wood in 3rd place.
