Billericay batted first on a flat track as former South African Under 18 captain Raynard van Tonder took full advantage by racking up an impressive 149 to see his side post 303 for 5.

It is always a tough ask to chase down any total above 300, and although skipper Max Osborne (50) kicked us off to a good start, we decided to settle for a draw with Joe Joyce (62*) and Danny Joyce (40*) seeing us home to the close.

We now sit in 3rd place in the keenly fought Division One of the Hamro Foundation Essex League, just 10 points behind the leaders Epping.
