In this 35-over friendly match, played in baking hot conditions, Belhus batted first and young Riley Everett proceeded to stroke a superb maiden century, which included 17 fours, before he retired himself out, as he was absolutely shattered and had no more to give in that heat. Michael Cansdale posted his 7th half-century of the season to take us to a very respectable 242 for 5.

In their run-chase after tea, Wickford batted sensibly through Mike Spooner (101) and Greg Mendham (70), to enable their team to march home to a relatively comfortable win by 5 wickets with 1 over remaining. For Belhus, Charlotte Waters and Ben Gladman were the wicket-takers with 3 and 2 scalps respectively.
