In this ninth Essex League match of the season, our 3rd XI bowlers did well to dismiss South Woodford for 158 as Andrew Williams and skipper Ethan Barnett took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

In our reply, Saiful Islam (43), Simon Walker (34) and Alex Blake (32*) batted sensibly to ensure that we chased down the runs and clinch victory by 4 wickets.

So at the halfway stage of their League campaign, our 3rd XI are sitting comfortably in third place in Division One with 122 points - just 24 points behind the leaders Chelmsford.
