In the last Hamro Foundation Essex League fixture of the season, the 2nd XI won the toss and opted to bat first. Another successful batting display saw the side rack up 262 runs as Rob Healy (38) Chris Didd (41) Adam Dudmish (39) and Alex Blake (42) all contributed diligently towards the total. In reply, Frenford came out aggressively and this time it didn't pay off as they found themselves perched at 97-7 with Martin Guilbert taking 3-40. Ibraheem Raza efforts were respected in his 34 but the writing was on the cards as Frenford collapsed to 167 all out with Brandon Millard, Henry Overy and Joseph Mitchell all collecting 2 wickets a piece

After this win it meant that 5th place was secured for the 2nd XI who fought hard all year and once again had a very exciting season with many close finishes and 2 tied games. The young side who were well led by Martin Guilbert will once again look to build upon there efforts and battle for promotion in 2023.
