Batting first at North Stifford, our 2nd XI racked up 272-8 off their allotted 45 overs thanks largely to Henry Overy (82) who continued his fine form this season. Adam Dudmish (44) and skipper Martin Guilbert (32) were the other main run-scorers in our competitive innings total.

In reply, Westcliff-on-Sea made a gallant attempt to chase down the runs with all of their batters making valuable contributions, but they fell agonisingly short of the required target as Brandon Millard and Dylan Sinfield captured 3 wickets apiece to secure victory for us by just 4 runs.

Yet another close, exciting match enjoyed by our young 2nd XI this season. Well played Belhus.
