Chingford batted first in this final Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season but were only able to post a modest total of 165 with Ray Toole and Dan Norris taking 3 wickets apiece.

In the run chase after tea, openers Gus Philpot (34) and Joe Joyce (24) got us off to a good start with a partnership of 63, but then a little collapse ensued as we lost 5 wickets for 24 to find ourselves perched precariously on 87 for 5. Fortunately, Shane Barwick (30) and Md Aminul Islam Shihan (34) steadied the ship with a sensible 50-run 6th wicket partnership to enable us to step home to a 3-wickets win.
