Batting first at North Stifford in the final Essex League match of the season, our 1st XI posted a modest total of 211-6 with Danny Joyce (35), Dan Norris (34*) and Shane Barwick (32) the top-scorers.

In their run-chase, Billericay were well poised on 143-3 but failed to maintain their momentum after our bowlers improved their lines (Max Osborne 3 for 17, Maruf Chowdhury 3 for 31) as they lost 7 wickets for 44 runs to close on 187-9, securing us a 24-runs victory.

So at the end of our second season in the Premier Division under the captaincy of Billy Winter, we finished in a creditable 6th position with 205 points (Won 7, Drew 1, Lost 9, Abandoned 1). The eventual winners were a well-deserved Chelmsford with 312 points. Billericay (91 points) and Harold Wood (115 points) were relegated.
