Our 3rd XI's final match of the season saw them post a competitive total of 220 for 8 from their allotted 40 overs, with opener Wayne Read stroking a fine 75 and the in-form Robert Healy 47. For Orsett, Imtiaz and Hills took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

In their attempted run-chase after tea, Orsett were never quite in the hunt as Baiju Mohammed bowled superbly to capture 5 for 30 from his 7 overs (his second '5for' for the Club). And with Aftab Mohammed clutching 3 outfield catches, Belhus cruised home to a comfortable 105-runs victory.

It was a memorable day for Henry Overy as he passed 1,000 runs for the season in all matches. And having already bowled his way to 50 wickets, he became only the second player in the Club's history to achieve a 1,000 runs/50 wickets 'double' in a season (Bill Taylor performing the feat in 1977). Well played Henry.
