Match report The Under 11s visited Stanford on Sunday hoping to bounce back after last week's match against Billericay. Losing the toss, we found ourselves batting in glorious sunshine and totalled 76-1 after 20 overs. A remarkable turn around from the week before having lost 14 wickets against Billericay to losing only the 1 wicket this week was an outstanding effort from everyone. Contributions all across the board with Austin top scoring (11) supported by Aaryian (6) and Alfie (5). For Stanford, only Ronnie was able to find success with his 1-4 off 2 overs.

In reply, Stanford wobbled losing 2 early wickets from Praneel (1-6) and Frankie (1-4) and were in the backseat when the ever impressive Reuben Hart claimed 1 wicket for 4 runs off his 2 overs. A good fightback from Jordan (12) Kian (17) and Harry (12) gave Stanford momentum and some hope. However, a massive last over from Ben Gladman who clean-bowled Kian and Harry in consecutive balls meant Stanford required 8 off the final over. Austin Medlock kept his cool after a no ball to claim the wicket of Kian with 2 balls to go which was all but over for Stanford by then.

A fantastic game of Cricket which went down to the final over, one that I think everyone watching also enjoyed.
