Match report Belhus eased to a high scoring win as they reached the 200 mark in this 24 over friendly at home to Basildon and Pitsea on a breezy evening at North Stifford. The visitors won the toss and invited the hosts to bat. Gus Philpot got Belhus off to a quick start with 37 before retiring. Fellow opener Teddy Waters also made a steady 35 before he too retired. Alex Blake made a fluent 29 and Rob Healy also retired after clubbing a quick fire 35. Henry Overy weighed in with 25 as Belhus racked up 200 for 3. Malik , Botha and Bharath picked up the B&P wickets.

Belhus were tight and tidy with the ball limiting the visitors to 83 for 4 from their 24 over allocation. Lucas Barnett led the way for Belhus with 2 for 16 including a caught and bowled. Callum Constantine picked up a wicket and a catch and Aidan Fourie also picked up a wicket. Rob Healy snagged a catch and a stumping to complete a good all round evenings work. A big win for Belhus but credit to a determined young Basildon team who batted solidly, Harland Dornan top scoring with 27.
