The Cassowaries batted first and were in dire trouble at 11 for 3 after Paul Hall had clean-bowled 3 batsmen. But then we let them off the hook as Shannon (106) and Harris (58*) put on a terrific 173-run 4th wicket partnership to enable the Cassowaries to take their score up to 194 for 4 after their allotted 35 overs.

In our run-chase, opener Chris Didd smashed 60 and Ben Marns stroked 30, but we couldn't quite reach the required target and fell just short to lose by 10 runs.

A good game though - played in fine spirit.
