Match report The 3rd-ever 6th XI game still sees them without a win, but they will not come closer following this one-run defeat at Chelmer Park.

Somehow the venue avoided any rain that accounted for a number of fixtures further south in the County.

The home side batted first and were restricted to 137 off their 35 overs, and with a fast outfield the Belhus bowlers and fielders performed well. A quick-fire 24 from Andrew Sheppard in at 8 gave the Chelmsford bowlers a target to bowl to.

In response, an accurate opening spell from Lawrence and Ryan left the visitors a bit behind the asking rate but, Dan Wakeling scored 31 including 2 huge sixes, resulted in Belhus needing 7 off the last over but finally falling just short.

A great day however was had by all.
