Buckhurst Hill batted first in this fifteenth SNEL match of the season and registered a competitive total of 231 for 5 declared after Safier Hussain top-scored with 63 not out. Of our bowlers, only Billy Maidment made any impression as he took 3 for 36 from 10 overs.

And after another delightful tea prepared by Julie Plane, we struggled to chase down the required target. Safier Hussain rounded off a fine afternoon in taking 6 for 39 and we were dismissed for a disappointing 103 as BH won quite comfortably by 128 runs.

With only 3 League matches remaining, our 3rd XI require a couple of decent performances to remain in their SNEL Division One next season.
