Belhus visited Frenford on Saturday knowing they had to win to avoid relegation.

On a decidedly interesting looking pitch, Belhus batted first to maximise the points available. The pitch offered erratic bounce and at 38 for 3 were struggling. Two decent middle-order partnerships pushed the total up to 129 for 6, mainly due to a good knock of 53 from Wayne Read and a reasonable total seemed reachable. However, Belhus subsided to 140 all out. On this spiteful surface would this be enough ?

In reply, Frenford struggled again, the ball scuttling and spitting in no apparent order. However, they were determined and were well placed at 93 for 4. The introduction of Richard Waters (4 for 4) and Mo (2 for 14) changed the game. Bowling very straight and very full, they took full advantage of the conditions and bowled out Frenford for a Full Nelson. The ball Tricky bowled to castle Khan, pitched 4th stump and took out his leg pole...a beauty. Well done Richard Waters...he showed the boys how to bowl.
