Charlie Gleisinger of Stanford le Hope CC was undoubtedly the player of the match in this league game at North Stifford on Thursday evening. He took three wickets for just seven runs from three fine overs and then reached the retirement level of 35 with the bat to secure a comfortable nine-wicket victory. Sewell's 20 runs provided assistance despite the early loss of George, trapped leg before wicket by Belhus seamer Daniel Dreher, who finished with 1-12 from four overs, which included one maiden.

Belhus welcomed a special guest for the evening in Richard Bonnington of the Essex Association of Boys Clubs, who volunteered to act as scorer.
