Pegasus & Corringham v Belhus Cricket Club Under 13A on Sun 21 Jun 2009 at 10am
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 11 Runs
Match report
Belhus batting first scored consistently, with openers Jack Martin-Hussey (11) and Sam Hall (not out 25) putting on 55 for the first wicket. Ellis Stevens continued the good work with 19 before being caught off the bowling of Slaughter, on a lightening fast outfield. Extras on 58 were the clear top-scorer as Belhus closed on 122 for 3.
Despite P&C losing a wicket to the 3rd ball, Brady (18) and Walker (25 not out) kept the scoreboard moving in advance of the required rate, when Walker retired, Slaughter(25 not out) continued to keep the home side favourites to win. 3 quick wickets for Belhus skipper Sam Hall applied the brake to the scoring and exposed the P&C tail enabling some accurate bowling in the final 5 overs to keep the score down to 111 and a narrow win for the visitors.
