Under perfect cricketing conditions, Belhus CC 3rd XI made the most of winning the toss, posting 221 for 6 before dismissing Upminster for 165 to secure a convincing 56-run victory.

Belhus got off to an excellent start, reaching 48 before the loss of their first wicket. Alfie Ware set the tone with a fluent 32 from 25 balls, before Mahfooz Mazumder (34) and Ovais Ilyas (55) built the platform for a competitive total. Puneet Singh Bal added a valuable 37, while Liam Waters (19*) and Lewis Ross (18*) helped Belhus finish strongly on 221 for 6 from their 40 overs.

In reply, Upminster never really got going as Belhus struck at regular intervals throughout the innings. William Peck (55) and Thomas Cargill (51) offered some resistance, but Belhus maintained control through disciplined bowling and excellent fielding. A special mention for Evie Baldwin, who produced two outstanding direct-hit run outs to shift the momentum firmly in Belhus' favour. Puneet Singh Bal then delivered the decisive spell of the match, claiming 4 for 13 from just four overs, while George Church provided excellent support with 2 for 8. Upminster were eventually bowled out for 165 in 32.1 overs, sealing a deserved victory for Belhus.

Belhus will look to carry this winning momentum into the weeks ahead.
