Belhus won the toss and elected to field first, with Ethan Hammes and Imran Mohammed providing the early breakthroughs and putting Shenfield under pressure.

Hammes was the pick of the attack with an excellent 4 for 32 from 8 overs, while Imran returned 2 for 35 from 8 overs. Shenfield recovered through J Hearn (47) and M Mariyathas (31), but Belhus kept taking wickets and eventually bowled Shenfield out for 180 in 39 overs.

Belhus began the chase positively, with Mahfouz Mazumder setting the tone with a quickfire 38 from just 29 balls, including six fours and two sixes. From there, Alex Blake and Oliver Davy put together a superb match winning partnership. Davy struck an excellent 54 from 44 balls, including three sixes, while Blake remained unbeaten on 44 from 49 balls, guiding Belhus comfortably towards the target.

Belhus reached 184 for 3 in just 22.5 overs, sealing an emphatic seven wicket victory with more than 16 overs to spare.

It was a fitting way to finish the final game of the season, with Belhus ending their campaign on a real high. Although promotion proved out of reach this year, there were plenty of positives to take from the season, and Belhus will look to build on those foundations and pursue promotion next year.
