Belhus CC won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a competitive 222 all out in 39.3 overs. Once again, Richard Waters carried the batting with a superb 72 from 92 balls, striking 11 fours and 2 sixes in a composed innings that provided the backbone of the total. He was brilliantly supported by captain Imran Mohammed whose explosive 57 from just 35 balls, including 10 boundaries, shifted the momentum in Belhus’ favour during the middle overs.

In reply, Shenfield successfully chased down the target, finishing on 223/7. The chase was built around an outstanding unbeaten 89 from Mike Hindley, whose well-paced innings proved the difference. Although Belhus picked up wickets through George Church, Ethan Hammes, Harvey Stapleton, Usman Rahim and Imran Mohammed, the bowling attack lacked the discipline and consistency needed to defend the total. Too many loose deliveries and extras allowed Shenfield to stay in control of the chase.

Belhus will be encouraged by another strong batting performance but will know that a more disciplined bowling display will be required to convert competitive totals into victories.
