Goresbrook batted first in this 2nd League match of the season with opener Vaibhav Gadhvi carrying his bat through the innings for 124, ably supported by co-opener Rohit Sharma (55) and the total closed at 232 for 2 from the allotted 45 overs. This was a competitive score but helped by no less than 24 wides from the Belhus bowlers.
