In this fifth League match of the season, Benfleet batted first and were only able to rack up an under-par total of 158-9 from their 40 overs. Oliver Davy (3) and Imran Mohammed (2) were our lead wicket-takers.

In our run-chase, we lost Tom Thompson early and we wobbled a bit at 111-6, but Afra Rose produced a well-grafted 35 and Martin Mailey (31), Oliver Davy (25*) and Keith Dhannie (19*) supported the cause and we managed to reach our target in 33.2 overs to win by 4 wickets.

And skipper Mailey is pleased with his team's performance thus far into their League campaign, being placed 2nd in their Division, just 4 points behind the leaders Billericay.
