This was the fifteenth HFEL game of the season and our 2nd XI were put in to bat after Barking won the toss.

All of our batters reached double figures with Aftab Mohamed (83) and Jack Plane (64) leading the charge to a competitive total of 261-5 from their 45 overs.

In their run-chase, Barking made immediate inroads towards the required target with Fahran Nadeem stroking a neat half-century (53), but their assault fizzled out when spinner James Webb was given the ball and got into his stride to snap up 5 of the last 6 wickets to fall (his second '5for' of the season) and bowl out Barking for 214. Well played Belhus.

Skipper Adam Dudmish was pleased with his side's competent all-round performance and hopes for similar showings in the remaining 3 matches of the season to lift them up to an acceptable position in their Division.
