In this ninth HFEL match of the season at North Stifford, Neo batted first and found themselves in trouble at 81-7. And even after a 41-run 8th wicket partnership that saw them reach 122-8, Belhus were still in the driving seat. However, a superb 9th wicket partnership of 117 between Jimmy Patel (75) and Pritesh Patel (73) - in which they fired off 9 sixes between them - saw our commanding position stripped away. Despite Ben Gladman and Ashir Saleem taking 4 wickets apiece, Neo eventually closed their innings on 264 after just 41.3 overs.

In our run- chase, only skipper Wayne Read (39) showed any form as our other batters made positive starts but couldn't quite kick on as Gaurav Patel helped himself to 4 wickets to see us bowled out for a disappointing 153 and lose by 111 runs.

Belhus no doubt felt that they should have won this match but well done to Neo.

With 9 League matches remaining, our 2nd XI sit comfortably in 3rd position in their Division and remain optimistic for the second half of the season.
