Harlow batted first in this fifteenth Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season and with opener Shiraz Ali stroking an excellent unbeaten 149, they were able to post a highly respectable 275 for 3 from their allotted 45 overs.

The required target didn't faze the strong batting line-up of the Belhus 2s, and even after losing Josh Reynolds and Adam Dudmish with the score on 49 for 2, optimism was high. And as with the previous week's League match, opener Riley Everett (137*) combined together with skipper Jack Plane (93*) to rack up yet another commanding 200+ partnership (227) to chase down the runs in just 39.5 overs for us to win comfortably by 8 wickets.

It was Riley's second consecutive unbeaten century (a rare achievement) and a career-best for him, while Jack just fell short of his century again after recording 89 last week.

So another strong performance by our 2nd XI that finds them sitting in 3rd place in their Division (204 points), only 2 points behind 2nd placed Walthamstow (206 points) and Newham (203 points) just 1 point behind us in fourth place. Frenford sit atop of the Division with 259 points which puts them in a commanding position but it's all to play for in the remaining 3 matches for the other promotion slot.
