In this 14th Hamro Foundation Essex League match of the season, we dismissed Harlow Town for a competitive 243 as Anant Bhake proved their mainstay with exactly 100. Ashir Saleem was in excellent form with the ball in collecting 6 wickets at a cost of 47 runs, his second 6-wicket haul of the season.

In our determined reply, we lost Alex Blake and Wayne Read early, but opener Riley Everett and skipper Jack Plane carved a controlling 3rd wicket partnership before skipper Jack Plane fell for a hard-hitting 89. Riley continued along his merry way, playing very responsibly to steer us home to a 7-wicket win bringing up his well-deserved century, his second for the Club.

This was an impressive victory and with 4 matches of the season remaining, our 2nd XI sit in 3rd position in their Division, 16 points behind second-place Walthamstow. Their hope now is to put in a couple of similar performances in the closing stages in order to clinch promotion.
