Match report On a bright Sunday morning in Stanford, the Belhus Hurricanes played against the Stanford-le-Hope Sabres. The Sabres didn't have a full side, playing with only 8 players.

Stanford batted first and after a solid start, they finished strongly with James hitting 19 coming in at number 6, including three boundaries and Orlando coming in as last batter at number 8 striking a commanding 17, including two boundaries. Stanford posted a total of 301 (200 + [116-15]).

The Hurricanes innings never really got going and the solitary boundary of the innings was struck by Oscar Cowdrey-Martinez coming in at number 3, who was the top-scorer of the innings with 6. The Hurricanes finally managed to get up to 256 runs (200 + [77-21]), falling 45 runs short of the target.

Congratulations to the Sabres who won by 45 runs! The two sides meet again a week later at North Stifford - hopefully it will be a closer game...
