The Belhus contingent visited Brooke CC on Thursday and the game was under threat once again due to wet weather. The game did go ahead and the match was shortened to a 30-overs a side affair.

Brooke were invited to bat and made steady progress through A.Shearer (52), D.Shearer (26), C.Feltham and R.Cushing who both made 23. The pick of the Belhus attack was once again Paul Whitlock who took 2-52 from his ten overs. Support came from match day skipper Roy Heffernan (2-40) and Martin Guilbert (1-53) as Brooke totalled 178-5.

Despite the early losses of Mcdonald (2), Morris (8) and Huckstepp (3), Mark Sansom got the Belhus reply off to a sprightly start with a fluent 37 (including six fours) before he fell LBW. The dismissal did not derail the Belhus victory train as Richard Day took control. Day hit 13 fours and 2 sixes on his way to an unbeaten 86 which secured victory for the visitors. Ben Marns made 15 and Tom Thompson 16 not out as Belhus eased to a five-wicket win with three overs to spare.
