Match report On a sunny but cold day, Belhus lost the toss and was put into bowl and what 'looked' a decent pitch. With Paul Whitlock and Jack Martin-Hussey opening up, the pitch showed signs of being unpredictable though with balls keeping low and bouncing high on a good length helping Belhus to work though the Leigh line up. Jack Martin-Hussey (2-24) started things off with 2 wickets in a good 4-over spell, along with 1 from Paul Whitlock. Then Aftab Ahmed took centre stage, taking 5-10 off 7 overs in a solid spell of bowling leaving Leigh-on-Sea with a total of 99 all out.

Belhus started their innings well, Garry Wood (30) taking to the Leigh attack. But once Barry Ruck was bowled, the all-too-familar 'Belhus Collapse' seemed on and with the next 3 batsmen scoring 4 and under, it was left to knocks by Paul Whitlock (12), Aftab Ahmed (14) and Lee Hawkes (10 n.o.) to see Belhus home to well-earned victory to leave them 4th in the League standings.
