Match report Belhus 3rd X1 won their encounter against Benfleet 3rd X1,after winning the toss Belhus put Benfleet into bat on a damp looking pitch. The first wicket to fall was off Mike Squires bowling, a great take from Huckstepp behind the stumps. This was one of his four wickets with figures of 15 overs, 4 for 38, another good weekend for Mike. He was supported by Paul Hall with figures of 14 overs, 2 for 35. Also Tony Ellis and Sam Hall the young guns bowled well. Our fielding was very impressive especially Darren Frampton who fielded superbly. Benfleet declared on 184 after 52 overs which set us a good total to chase.

After a solid start from Richard Dopson and Ben Marns, we lost the wicket of Marns at which stage we had 51 on the board. In came Peter Clark to steady the ship with a good knock of 51, helped by Brian Edwards (30) and Darren Frampton (24) with Paul Hall hitting the winning runs with 5 not out.
