Match report Belhus were put into bat on a wicket that looked like it would suit bowlers. With this in mind, and the threat of rain later in the day, all the batsmen played positively with regular boundaries being scored. However wickets were also being lost but this didn't impede the scoring and a final total of 221 all out was reached in the 48th over. The side were happy with this score going to tea but were aware that 25 overs had to be bowled in the second innings to keep any extra points earned.
And so Belhus started with spin at one end to get through the overs. The Woodford Green opening pair looked to play their shots but once they were out things began to slow as far as run rate was concerned. The rain began to fall but not enough to go off. A further 3 overs were bowled and then the heavens opened with 3.5 overs to go for a game to be registered. The game was finally abandoned with no more play. This meant 6 points each. If we had managed the extra 3.5 overs it would have meant 9 points for Belhus. The only 2 games completed in the division involved the 2 sides above us and they both won.
