Batting first in the fourth Essex League match of the season, our 5th XI racked up a formidable total of 310 for 5 from their allotted 40 overs. This set a new CLUB RECORD TOTAL FOR THE 5TH XI. Opener Ryan Prendergast continued his good form by stroking his fourth half-century of the season, but the star of the day was Robert Healy who, coming in at No. 5, crashed a magnifcent 174 not out, creating a new CLUB RECORD INDIVIDUAL SCORE IN A 5TH XI MATCH (surpassing the previous record of 144 by Jack Thomas against Brentwood in 2016). It was also the 7th highest-ever individual score in the Club's history.

Such a total was always going to be a tough ask for Hornchurch to chase down, but they made a good early fist of it (George Maydell (55) but failed to maintain their momentum and were dismissed for 182 as Tilly Barnett bowled superbly to take 5 for 41 - her maiden '5for'.

A truly memorable day for happy skipper Barry Ruck - and Robert and Tilly in particular. Well played Belhus.
