Belhus Cricket Club Sunday 2nd XI v Eltham on Sun 07 Aug 2022 at 2.00pm
Belhus Cricket Club Won by 25 Runs
Match report
Belhus 227 for 5
Eltham 202 for 8
In this excellent Sunday friendly, Belhus batted first and posted a very fine 227 for 5 in there 35 overs.
This was much thanks to a magnificent opening stand of 152 from Young Riley Everett and Adam Dudmish.
Riley taking the lead and scoring his fifty first in 48 balls, Adam's soon followed in only 39 balls, In fact both batters looked certain for Hundreds until Riley ran out of steam and run himself out for his Highest score of 75, in 84 balls, which included some 13 fours, very well played indeed.
M Cansdale joined Adam and scored an easy 32*, but it was Adam who stole the show with his fine 101 from only 74 balls which also included 13 fours, a lovely knock, to which he then retired himself.
But the total was set.
In reply, Eltham set about the chase very well and had Skipper Pad and G Boylan stayed in they may well have won the game with time to spare, But a beautiful delivery from Aftab Mohammed removed Pad and Boylan going for a shot was also Bowled by Aftab. This then brought us back in the game and from that point onwards, we didn't look like losing, especially with M Yassar bowling his 7 overs for only 20 runs.
All the bowlers stuck to there job and bowled well, as we ran home 25 run, run winners, Aftab with 2 for 37 and P Sing Bal 2 for 50.
This was a very good game, that was enjoyed by both sides on a lovely hot sunny Sunday.
