Batting first in this time game we declared on 196 for 5 in 45.3 overs, as M Winter hit 27, J Banner also scored 27 with a rare 6, R Waters 14 and M Vallis 20, but it was W Read with a fine 73 not out that ensured that we had a good total to bowl at, his innings included 6 fours and 2 sixes and never really look in any trouble at the crease.
After tea, Bromley started well, but P Hall plugged away and took an excellent 5 wickets for us, his figures were 12 overs, 4 maiden 5 for 28, this effectively got us into the game, runs for R Briggs 28, N.Chute 37 and D Cassidy 45, brought Bromley back into the match, but our attack worked hard and in the last over Bromley just could not get the runs required and end up with the scores tied, in what was a great finish to an excellent game of cricket.
