Horndon won the toss and batted first and posted a healthy 192 for 7 in their 40 overs, with S Cole hitting a fine 56, J West Snr a nice 33 and a lovely 77 from R Ballard leading the way. G Plane took 2 for 22 and T Udell picked up 3 for 22.

In reply, at 39 for 4 the game had probably slipped away from us, but a decent 40 from W Read and a fine 48 from J Banner got us back into it and 29 from G Plane gave us more hope. But we were always behind and chasing the game and the wickets fell just at the wrong time and we closed 28 runs short of the target.
K O'Keefe picked up 3 for 25 from 10 overs and M Canavan 2 for 5, off a short but effective 1.5 overs.
