A weakend Belhus side, lost to Roding Valley in a weather effected league cup match that was reduced to 25 overs a side, that turned out to be a very exciting game.
Batting first on a very damp pitch Belhus could only post 110, mainly due to some good tight bowling and the conditions, a few batsmen getting in but not going on, J Banner 21, W Read 18, D Cayless 17 and M Guilbert 14, as P Glasgow 3 for 22 and S West and S Nazir with 2 each did the damange for Roding Valley, but obviously 3 run outs did not add to the Belhus cause.

The Belhus attack set about the task of defending the small total very well, and the game ended up going to the last over, as P Glasgow 10* and T knapman 6* saw Valley home with 4 balls to spare. C.Apps set the platform early in the innings with 35 and R Waters and R Heffernan picked up 2 wickets each, as our run in the Cup was ended. Good luck to Valley in the next round.
