Belhus beat Stort in this very close game in the League Cup. Batting first, Belhus could only post 197 in 44 overs, T Lincoln 35, T Lambert 24, Rich Waters 37 and J Forrest 28 all got in but failed to go on, as the Stort attack bowled well and shared the wickets around, D Lewis the best, picking up 3 for 32.

Our bowlers would have to bowl equally as well as the Stort attack to defend this total on a hot day and a good pitch and that's exactly what they did, bowling Stort out for 182 in 42 overs for a very tight finish.

Both innings were similar in many ways, as the Stort batsmen also got in but failed to go on, C. Mathews with 37, S. O'Shannassy 34 and D. Lewis 34, but credit to our attack as they stuck at the task in hand to produce a fine win. S Liddiard, S Bayford, Rob Waters and G Werry all picked up 2 wickets apeice and M Winter and P Hall 1 each sharing in the wickets around.
