Batting first in this 40-over match, Goresbrook were only able to muster 106 all out after Rob Long had bowled superbly to take 4 for 14 from his 7 overs.

In our run-chase, we were in dire trouble at 51 for 8 but Ben Palmer (13) and Darren Wells (31*) batted magnificently to see us home to a 1-wicket victory.

A very enjoyable and exciting match and a great way to finish the 2007 season. Well played everyone.
