In the last match of the season at North Stifford, Goresbrook batted first and posted an impressive 203 for 3 from their allotted 30 overs - opener Danny Williamson batted superbly for 105.

In our run-chase after tea, Roy Heffernan struck an elegant 84 from just 68 deliveries, but apart from Nathan Turner with 39, the rest of our batsmen failed to perform. We finished our 30 overs at 189 for 7 - a good effort but not good enough to prevent Goresbrook winning by 14 runs.

It was an excellent match to finish the season, played in the true spirit of the game.
