St Johns (10 men) batted first and posted a competitive total of 200 for 9. Our wily spinner Mike Squires was our lead wicket-taker with 4 for 37.

After tea, Belhus were soon in a pickle - perched on 31 for 7 after 15 overs. the match was all but lost. But Michael Fogg and Cliff Cansdale had other ideas as they batted heroically for 21 overs in a partnership of 49 to see us to the close and earn a magnificent draw.
