Batting first in the 1st XI's last match of the 2007 season, we posted a very respectable total of 228 for 4 in our allotted 35 overs with Chris Baker (56) and Michael Fogg (72*) both making half-centuries.

In their run-chase after tea, Eastwood were always up with the clock, but despite a superb 90 from opener Doug Whalley, they fell agonisingly short of their target to lose by just 1 run.

Played in true spirit of the game, it was exciting match to close out the season.
