Our 3rd XI travelled down to Canterbury for this end-of-season, 40-over Friendly.

Batting first, W & D racked up an impressive 249 off of 39.4 overs despite our skipper Mike Squires bowling superbly to take 4 for 20 from 6 overs. Darren Wells took 3 outfield catches.

In our run-chase, we never quite clicked into gear with only Darren Wells (28) making any real impression and we lost quite easily by 111 runs.

Three members of the Squires family played in this match - dad and skipper Mike, son Terry and daughter Amy. And dad Darren Wells stepped out with son Ryan. That was nice.
