Belhus were put in to bat and were soon in trouble after both our openers were dismissed for ducks. But we turned things around as, first, Brian Edwards (33), then Dan Norris (62), followed by Gavin Jefferies (39), took us up to a respectable 193 all out in this 40-over friendly.

After tea, Dale Kenyon took 3 for 18 and Tony Ellis and Brian Edwards chipped in with 2 wickets apiece to prevent Wickford from reaching the target, as their innings fizzled out to leave us victors by 26 runs.
