In the quarter-final of the Group D Dukes Essex T20, Ilford won the toss and elected to bat. After their allotted 20 overs, they posted a very respectable total of 133 for 4 with all of their batsmen making contributions and opener Akash Raji carrying his bat for a fine 63 not out.

In reply, our openers Joe Joyce (64*) and Ryan Wells (59*) batted magnificently in chasing down the runs without fuss, and they saw us home to an emphatic 10-wickets win in just 15.1 overs.

And we are now through to our first-ever Dukes Essex T20 Semi-Finals/Final day - scheduled to take place at the Toby Howe Ground, Billericay on Sunday 7th July. We will meet Harold Wood in the first semi-final and Chelmsford will meet Wanstead in the other.
